“Sit Down”

This phrase can be heard throughout the homes of the Wind River Reservation. Whether it’s a parent telling their child to sit down or a friend or relative welcoming you into their home, this is a common expression amongst the Northern Arapaho people to take some time to sit and stay awhile. We welcome you and ask that you sit and stay awhile.
