Wind River Casino has done many things for charity and sponsored many organizations. They have given back to the community both on and off the reservation.
Some organizations are listed below. This list is just among some of the wonderful things that have been done for the community.

The American Legions Posts 84 and 86.
The Central Wyoming College Rodeo Team.
Rodeos in Shoshone, Lander, Thermopolis and Riverton.
Individual sponsorships for riders in rodeos.
Alcohol/Gambling/Suicide Addiction Program.
Through with Chew- a tobacco prevention program.
Working with Tribal Health programs that put up booths to speak to the community about certain health awareness programs. (Breast cancer awareness, etc.)
Helps out the schools in the community.
Rocky Mountain Car Club for the car shows they put on every summer in Riverton, WY.
Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to help protect the habitat for elk and other wildlife.
Kiwanis Books and Breakfast to support the importance of reading to young children.
Bought a commemorative brick at the John Wayne Birthplace.
Individual sponsorships for basketball tournaments.
Donated food to Domestic Violence conference.
Awards and Community Service:
Voc Rehab- award for the most clients hired from their establishment (most of their clients have retained permanent employment)
Are with at least 17 different Chambers of Commerce.
Won Riverton Business of the Year in 2009.
Native American Business Expo for Career Day.
Wind River Casino holds a carnival for the children in the community. It is held once a year, right before school starts. It emphasizes giving back to the youth. It’s always free and brand new backpacks full of school supplies are given to all of the children who go.
Slot tournament and employee slot tournaments are held before Christmas. All proceeds go to buying toys for children and donating them to organizations such as, One Stop Help Center in Lander, Wyoming and Child Protective Services and Department of Family Services in Riverton, Wyoming.
A commercial washer/dryer was donated for Fremont County Alcohol Crisis Center.
One employee donated her brand new flat screen TV she won at the employee Christmas party to a family in town that had a fire at their home and had lost everything in December of 2007.
Wind River Casino is very proactive with problem gambling and sponsors the Gambling Anonymous meetings.
Wind River Casino also has special trainings held by BOSCES of Fremont County for the employees and some of them include:
Understanding Meth Addictions~ Helps a person who may be at risk or know someone who is. Also helps with the employees learning how to notice a meth addict and how to deal with it if they needed to for safety precautions.
Sexual Harassment~ How to deal with it and if it is an employee/boss/customer/etc.
Alcohol/Gambling/Suicide~ How to deal with it and recognize it
